BIOgraphy:
Sad Eyed Pearl was formed in early 2020 by musician Johnmichael Waggoner. The project is a devotion to the ideal that music is more than entertainment, or a vehicle for vicarious experience, but instead a place where souls can meet and share forgotten things. Driven by a desire to capture beauty and tragedy in equal measure the songs that comprise Immortal Remedy, the debut album, are sonic expressions of loss, longing and ultimately acceptance. "Is This Sacrifice?", the first offering from the forthcoming album, is an exploration of suffering that draws the listener into a realm of desperation that ranges from fragile intimacy to tragic grandeur.
Drawing inspiration, musically and spiritually, from the work of artists such as David Sylvian, Peter Murphy, Clan of Xymox, Brendan Perry, Depeche Mode and Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark.
